| Revisiting Cancer
Nobody wants to hear "you have cancer......again." But reality has shown us that there are too many women who will hear those exact words. We believe that those women will need a special kind of support - as will their familes.
At the same time, there are women who will be diagnosed for the first time with a cancer that has already traveled beyond its primary site and into distant organs. They, too, need and deserve a mountain of support on their journey.
Revisiting Cancer is an open door support group for these women who are living with cancer - with emphasis on the living, meets Tuesday's from 12 noon until 2 or thereabouts! Please call the office for dates.
Lunch is perpared by the Co-Op. Dietary restrictions (if any) should be discussed prior to attending.
|
We at the Co-Op understand the need for specialized programs for women living with cancer (and sometimes other conditions) as a chronic illness. It is an honor to work with these amazing women who continue to inspire and teach us through their own lives and struggles. Please call the Co-Op for upcoming programs seperate from our weekly support group meetings.

Caregivers Circle
Being the caregiver, or one of several caregivers, of a loved one making the journey through cancer can be an experience of hope, joy and love. It can also be an experience of frustration - of not knowing what to do or what to say. We here at the Co-Op believe that supporting the Caregivers is vital. We recognize the importance and value of offering an environment where Caregivers, men and women, can share, rejoice, grieve and simply "be there" for one another.
An open door support group meeting the first Thursday of the month from 7 until 9 PM.

All Support Groups run on an "Open-Door" system always welcoming new members.
Our support programs, including Restorative Yoga, are free-of-charge to women who have or have had cancer. We at the Co-Op understand that the diagnosis can create a variety of financial challenges. We believe that receiving the support you need and deserve should not be one of them.
Donations are always welcome as well as much appreciated and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law..
